It is clear to me that to improve the world alone is not an easy task! However, I am convinced that change starts first by oneself and everyone without exception can offer something to help society, beginning with small actions:
√ Caring for the environment
√ Respecting the flora and fauna we find
√ Not throwing rubbish in the environment
√ Avoiding plastic and not throwing rubbish to the floor
√ Reducing paper consumption
√ Reusing and practising creative recycling
√ Consuming more environmentally friendly products
√ Committing to electric cars with zero emissions
√ Being in favour of using renewable energy
√ Replacing halogen lamps by LEDs
√ Going to the country and reconnecting with nature to feel good,… .And many more things!
Initiative and action are key!
I am currently involved in several projects and, as it is impossible to summarise them all in such a short space, I will provide an outline of the main ones.
SOLMARK MINERALS
Workshops to teach participants to distinguish the different characteristics of minerals and rocks in Carratraca and its surrounding areas, supported by scientific knowledge.
FINCA LA MORALEDA
In June 2020, I bought the ”Finca La Moraleda” in Carratraca. The idea is to reform the old house completely and make improvements on the land around it to be able to build a small charming rural hotel in the future. A perfect place to stop by on your way to visit Finca solmark, el Caminito del Rey or el Chorro, just to give some examples.
